Parent Information
I will update this section of the blog periodically. I highly recommend that you read the assignments in your child's planner and talk to them about school.
Science: The students have been learning about electricity.
Language: Students have been writing different types of poetry.
Social Studies: They have been studying the origins of our holiday traditions and the traditions of other countries.
Math: Keep practicing multiplication facts.
Reading: Students have been creating props and learning lines for their play.
Books: I truly appreciate all the work you and your child put into creating and publishing the books. The kids were so excited to turn in their finished packets and are anticipating the day their books are officially published!
Christmas Cookie Recipe: A note was sent home requesting that each student bring in his or her favorite cookie recipe. Cookie recipes are now due by December 15th.
Christmas Party: Our Christmas party is December 22nd. We will have pizza, soda, chips, dip and carrot sticks. If you would like to donate money for the pizza, chips, dip, carrot sticks, soda, napkins, snack cakes, treat bags, or art supplies for the day please add a comment or send a note to school with your child.
Christmas Gift Exchange: Students will also exchange gifts. Boys should bring for boys and girls should bring for girls. Gifts should cost $5.
Language Arts and Science Assignments
Students were given a calendar with this information. I encouraged them to write everything in their planner. The assignments are still written on the board each day.
